My name is Nkaujoua Xiong (Gowng-soo-ah Sh-yo-ng); I also go by NK. I am a Hmong cinematographer, director, and photographer based out of Milwaukee, WI, with a heart for human-focused documentaries. I specialize in cinematography and lighting and currently work on local productions as a director, cinematographer, grip, and production assistant. I strive to discover and share stories, especially those highlighting the Hmong, immigrant, and BIPOC experiences.

My short documentary, "Why My Dad Loves," was awarded the 2022 Brico Forward Fund. It recently screened at the 2024 Milwaukee Film Festival where it received a Special Jury Mention and is currently making its festival run.
